The Ultimate Navigator: Taejin’s Path to Eagle Scout

If you’ve been in the White Pony Express distribution center lately, you might have seen one of our favorite father-son duos heading out on a run. For the last two years, Taejin has been a presence in the passenger seat of our vans, serving as ‘navigator’ while his dad handles the driving. Together, they’ve spent countless hours making sure good food gets to the people that need it.

Recently, Taejin decided to take the wheel on a project of his own. To earn his Eagle Scout rank, he wanted to do something big for the community he’s served for years. He hit the pavement—literally—talking to neighbors, handing out fliers, and setting up food collection bins to spread the word about WPE’s mission. It turns out Taejin is just as good at navigating community outreach as he is navigating a delivery route. By the time he was finished, he had rallied enough support to collect 770 pounds of food for our hungry neighbors.

It’s been wonderful to watch Taejin grow from a dedicated volunteer sitting beside his dad into a leader standing on his own. We are proud of his hard work and grateful to have him (and his navigating skills!) on the team.
