We believe hunger is a solvable logistics problem. With up to 40% of U.S. food going to waste and only 2% donated, the opportunity to make a real dent in food insecurity right here in Contra Costa County is enormous.
But numbers only capture so much. At WPE, how we do this work matters as much as what we do. We see every neighbor as a member of one human family who should be seen and welcomed, not handed something and sent away. Love isn’t a marketing word here. It’s how we operate.
