Margaret Miller was 90 years old in 2013 when White Pony Express was founded. She thought it was a wonderful idea and wanted to help, but she was not physically able to drive, pick up, or distribute the recovered food.
But Margaret could – and did – include WPE in her estate plan with a generous bequest.
When she passed on, Margaret’s bequest gave a significant push to WPE’s expanding work, timed fortunately with the newly established Clothing and Care Program.
Margaret’s gift inspired us to name our Legacy Giving Program in her honor.
