Bay Point Resource Fair

On Saturday, August 16, White Pony Express was honored to participate in District 5 Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston’s first annual Bay Point Community Resource Fair. The event was a vibrant gathering designed to uplift and connect families with services and resources.

White Pony Express provided hearty snack-packs and health and wellness essentials—timed perfectly to support families as students head back to school. At the Resource Fair, families were welcomed into an atmosphere of joy and belonging, with music, free food, and a celebratory spirit that filled the air. Booths offered a wide range of opportunities: educational programs for students, workforce training for adults, housing and homeless services, and health resources—all free and accessible to everyone.

Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston shared her vision for the event, saying: “The Bay Point Community Resource Fair is about bringing our community together and making sure families have access to the tools, information, and support they need to thrive.”

She went on to recognize the role White Pony Express plays in this mission:

“White Pony Express is doing an amazing job,” she said, pointing to WPE’s years of providing District 5 families with healthy food, backpacks for students, clothing, and other essentials.

We are grateful for the opportunity to join Supervisor Scales-Preston and our neighbors in District 5 and commit to providing access to nourishing, fresh food and reducing the footprint in landfills, create cleaner air and thriving communities!
